When you’re working in the round, the first thing you have to do with almost any script you come to is adjust for the lack of proscenium. This one was a special challenge because so much of the comedy was in sight gags originally conceived for a proscenium stage. Fortunately I was working with three comic masters who could reconstruct a joke from the ground up and make it even better.
