Peter and the Starcatcher

adapted by Rick Ellice, from the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson

Globe Theatre, 2016

"It is above all by the imagination that we achieve perception and compassion and hope."   Ursula K. Le Guin

This play is magical. It asks only that we believe, and in return, offers us the miracle of flight. As Molly Aster says, "To have faith, is to have wings" . . .

The story of Peter and the Starcatcher invites all of us to awake in ourselves that child's imagination that lets us see as children see.  With an openness of heart that can allow innocence and hope to survive even dark and difficult experience; allow us to look through the cracks, to see the stars, and begin to dream again. Ellice and company encourage us just to believe, and take flight. -kf, program notes 2016
